Amy Arroyo

Amy Arroyo joined BASIS Scottsdale Primary East in the 2018-2019 school year as the EL Coordinator and then moved into the Dean of Students position for the 2019-2020 school year. In late 2020, she transitioned into the Head of Operations role.

Ms. Arroyo earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico, which lead her to a career in teaching. After spending time in the classroom setting as a kindergarten and first grade teacher, Ms. Arroyo moved to the administration side of education, taking on the role of Instructional Coach. After making this move, Ms. Arroyo found her passion for school leadership, which gave her the opportunity to be a positive influence on student success at the school level.

While teaching, Ms. Arroyo graduated from the University of New Mexico with a master’s degree in Elementary Education, focusing on Early Education. After moving with her family to Arizona, she was excited to join the BASIS community. She fell in love with the BASIS model of rigorous curriculum and high academic standards. She is continuously inspired by the achievements of BASIS students and is honored to support them as the Head of Operations. While Ms. Arroyo will always miss the classroom, she is confident that this role will allow her to make a true impact on the students and teachers at BASIS Scottsdale Primary East.
