BASIS Plano Primary and BASIS Plano are tuition-free public charter schools serving grades Kâ9 for the 2025â26 school year. Our upper school is expanding by one grade level each year, so your child will receive a full Kâ12 education. With our accelerated curriculum, robust student support system, and variety of enriching extracurriculars, we empower students to achieve at globally competitive levels.
BASIS Plano is committed to creating a caring and supportive learning environment where all students are able to reach their highest potential. We are excited to offer school tours once construction is officially completed on our future campus. We anticipate that tours will start in early August. In meantime, we encourage you to attend a Virtual Info Session. Please sign up for our interest list to be the first to know when tours begin at our new campus.
BASIS Plano extracurriculars will change year to year based on student interest. Some of the extracurricular offerings we are planning for our opening year include Chess, Art Club, Band, Choir, Robotics Club, Mock Trial, and Model UN. We also plan to offer multiple team sports, including Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, and Flag Football.
At BASIS Plano, our after-school program (Late Bird) fees are $295/month. Financial aid is available for qualifying families.
We also offer a sibling discount rate of $540/month for two students or $785/month for three students or more.
A typical class size at BASIS Plano is about 30â32 students. We have two teachers in the classroom from grades Kâ3, which reduces our student-teacher ratio.
BASIS Plano students study Mandarin from kindergarten to grade 3. Starting in grade 8, students may choose from Mandarin and Spanish.
Personal devices (including cell phones, smart watches, and computers) are not allowed in school. Students should leave their devices at home or keep them turned off and stored in their lockers or cubby.
Because cubbies are not a secure storage space, it is not advised that students store their valuables here. Please note that the school is not liable for lost or stolen devices.
BASIS Plano does not provide transportation for students to and from school at this time.
Yes. We have an on-site lunch program provided by a third-party provider, Crave It.
