BASIS Baton Rouge Primary Mid City is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in grades K–5 that reside in the East Baton Rouge Parish School District. We set the foundation for academic success with our accelerated curriculum, robust student support system, and variety of enriching extracurriculars.
We provide a caring and supportive learning environment where all students are able to reach their highest potential. During the day, students learn about subjects such as Engineering, Phonics, Science, Math, Mandarin, and much more. After school, students can take their learning a step further with extracurriculars such as Cooking Club, STEM Club, Chess Club and Dance. We pride ourselves on our diverse and welcoming school culture.

At BASIS Mid City, our after-school (Late Bird) fees are $225/month per student. Financial aid is available for qualifying families.
A typical class size at BASIS Mid City is 33 students per class. We have two teachers in the classroom from grades K–3, which reduces our student-teacher ratio.
BASIS Mid City offers Mandarin. When students advance to BASIS Materra for high school, they may choose from Mandarin, Spanish, French, and Latin.
BASIS Mid City students must have their cell phones turned off and put away during the entire school day.
