BASIS Leander Primary and BASIS Leander are new tuition-free public charter schools opening for the 2026–27 school year. BASIS Leander Primary will serve grades K–5, while BASIS Leander will open with grades 6–8. We will add one grade level each year, so your child will receive a full K–12 education. With our accelerated curriculum, robust student support system, and variety of enriching extracurriculars, we empower students to achieve at globally competitive levels.
BASIS Leander is committed to creating a caring and supportive learning environment where all students are able to reach their highest potential. During the day, students learn about subjects such as Engineering, Literacy, Science, Math, Mandarin, Art, and much more. After school, students in all grade levels can participate in our wide range of student clubs and sports. Our state-of-the-art new campus will be equipped with science labs, a full-size gym, a blackbox theatre, and three outdoor play areas.

BASIS Leander Primary and BASIS Leander will begin accepting applications November 4th, 2025. For your best chance at securing a seat, we recommend applying during our Open Enrollment period which ends on December 12, 2025. Please sign up for our interest list for up-to-date enrollment information.
BASIS Leander Primary and BASIS Leander will initially open to grades K–8 (grades K–5 at our primary school and grades 6–8 at our upper school). We will add one grade level each year, so your child will get a full K–12 education.
We are excited to offer school tours once construction is completed on our future campus. In the meantime, we encourage you to attend a Virtual Info Session or attend office hours or an upcoming Coffee, Tea & Conversation event.
