Flinn Scholar 2024 - 0524 - BASIS CHN

Congratulations to Our 2024 Flinn Scholar, Ariana R.

The entire BASIS Charter Schools network would like to congratulate Ariana R. from BASIS Chandler for being named a Flinn Scholar!

The Flinn Scholarship is a full-ride scholarship that covers tuition, housing, meals and study abroad programs at any of Arizona’s public universities. It is valued at more than $130,000. The Flinn Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships in Arizona, with only 20 scholars chosen each year out of more than 1,000 applicants.

To qualify for the Flinn Scholarship, students must:

  • Have a 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Rank within the top 5% of their graduating class
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills at school and in their communities

The scholarship is provided by the Phoenix-based Flinn Foundation. In addition to receiving a full ride at an Arizona university, Flinn Scholars gain membership at their university’s honors college. They receive mentorship from top faculty and alumni Flinn Scholars, and attend an international summer seminar with the entire Flinn Scholar class after their freshman year of college.

Ariana will be attending Arizona State University this fall and will be majoring in Biological Science. Congratulations again to Ariana for this amazing accomplishment!

Ariana joins our other 2024 Flinn Scholar, Edward W. from the BASIS Flagstaff! We’re thrilled to have not one, but two BASIS Charter School seniors in this year’s class of Flinn Scholars.
