Starting in grade 4, students begin moving independently from classroom to classroom. This prepares students for upper grades and helps them become more accountable for their work.

Our curriculum continues to spiral in grades 4–7, revisiting key concepts and ideas with greater depth and complexity. English, History, Math and Science are delivered as separate courses, allowing our Subject Expert Teachers to dive deeper into lessons.

Getting Ready for Next Steps

Due to the accelerated structure of our curriculum, our middle school students master material that is normally taught in high school. Beginning in grade 6, students take Biology, Chemistry and Physics as stand-alone science courses to prepare for Honors and AP® courses in high school.
