Yes. BASIS Charter Schools are tuition-free public charter schools.

What are the admissions requirements?

BASIS Baton Rouge Charter Schools are open to all students who reside within the East Baton Rouge Parish School District. Per state laws, we are not able to enroll students from outside of this district. Families living outside of this district are welcome to apply, but must provide proof of residency within the East Baton Rouge Parish School District to complete the registration process if offered enrollment.We have no entrance exams and do not restrict admission on the basis of academic achievement or any protected class.

How does your school support students with different learning styles?

BASIS Charter Schools offer differentiated instruction to cater to various learning styles. In grades K–3, we follow a co-teaching model with two teachers in each classroom. This allows us to maximize student engagement and support. We also have a robust program of student support services to ensure all students are able to succeed. We provide a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to students with disabilities who are currently eligible, or are determined eligible, to receive special education and related services. We have a strong and knowledgeable team that implements federal programs such as 504 plans and IEPs.
