BASIS Phoenix Primary is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades K–5. We set the foundation for academic success with our accelerated curriculum, robust student support system, and variety of enriching extracurriculars.
We are proud of our positive and encouraging school culture. In addition to learning foundational skills in math, science and literacy, our students gain confidence by participating in fine arts performances. After school, students can participate in extracurriculars such as Coding, Robotics, Chess, Firebird Ambassadors, Yoga, Soccer and Volleyball. There is a strong sense of teamwork and pride amongst our students and teachers.

Students who complete grade 5 at BASIS Phoenix Central go on to attend BASIS Phoenix for grades 6–12. Our accelerated middle school and high school curriculum challenges and inspires students, preparing them to attend the top colleges in the nation.

BASIS Phoenix Primary extracurriculars change year to year based on student interest. Some popular recent offerings include Yoga, Art Club, Firebird Ambassadors, Debate, and Coding. We have also offered a variety of athletic clubs including Soccer, Volleyball, Martial Arts, Basketball, Dodgeball, and Backyard Games.
Full-day kindergarten at BASIS Phoenix Primary is $400 per month, with discounts available for families who pay for the full year in advance. Our half-day kindergarten program is tuition-free.
At BASIS Phoenix Primary, our after-school (Late Bird) fees are $225/month for kindergarten and $320/month for grades 1–5. Discounts are available for families who pay for the entire year in advance.
A typical class size at BASIS Phoenix Primary is 30 students. We have two teachers in the classroom from grades K–3, which reduces our student-teacher ratio.
Full-day kindergarten students and students in grades 1–3 study Mandarin as part of their daily courses. When students advance to BASIS Phoenix for high school, they may choose from Mandarin, Spanish, French, and Latin.
At BASIS Phoenix Primary, students are not permitted to have cell phones on campus. If they do bring phones to school, they should remain in student backpacks and be powered off for the day.
