Melissa began her career in education in 2006 as a special education paraprofessional in California. She has worked as a Special Education Assistant, Self-Contained Special Education teacher, and high school special education teacher. Melissa joined the BASIS Charter Schools family in 2015 as a Special Education Coordinator and has also held the roles of Director of Academic Programs and Head of School.
