BASIS Texas Charter Schools Earn “A” Rating in 2025 TEA Accountability Ratings

BASIS Texas Charter Schools has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence, earning a district-level “A” rating and a score of 93 out of 100 in the recently released 2025 Texas Education Agency (TEA) Accountability Ratings.

This recognition places BASIS Texas Charter Schools among the top-performing districts in the state. In 2025, 1,208 districts and 9,084 campuses were rated statewide. We’re honored to be recognized among the very best districts in Texas!

8 “A” Rated Campuses in Texas

In addition to the network’s overall district rating, eight BASIS Texas Charter Schools campuses earned an “A” rating:

  • BASIS Austin
  • BASIS Cedar Park
  • BASIS Cedar Park Primary
  • BASIS Pflugerville
  • BASIS San Antonio Jack Lewis Jr.
  • BASIS San Antonio Primary Medical Center
  • BASIS San Antonio Primary North Central
  • BASIS San Antonio Shavano

Why Are TEA Accountability Ratings Important?

The TEA’s A–F Accountability System evaluates performance in three key areas: Student Achievement, School Progress, and Closing the Gaps.

Established in 2017 through House Bill 22, the A–F Accountability System was designed to provide parents, educators, policymakers, and local communities with clear, consistent, and transparent information on school performance. By balancing rigor and fairness, the system celebrates achievements while identifying opportunities for growth, ensuring all Texas students have access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success after graduation.

BASIS Texas Charter Schools celebrate these results as a reflection of the extraordinary dedication of its teachers, staff, and students. We remain focused on delivering an education that empowers every child to thrive.

In addition to earning top letter grades, our schools are consistently ranked among the best in the state by U.S. News & World Report. In 2025,
BASIS San Antonio Shavano was ranked #1 Best High School in San Antonio and #7 Best High School in Texas overall. Learn more about our awards and rankings.
