School Leadership
Christen Wolcott
Head of School
Christen joined BASIS Mesa in 2018 and served as the K–12 Director of Academic Programs before joining BASIS Chandler Primary South in that same role. Shortly afterward she became the Head of School. Christen has 20+ years of experience in elementary and post-secondary education.

Ondrej Smrcina
Head of Operations
Ondrej has been a part of the BASIS Charter Schools team since 2014. He has held roles in both Operations and Academics throughout his career with BASIS, most recently serving as the Operations Director at BASIS Phoenix South.

Brittania McCarron
Director of Student Affairs
Brittania began her career in education as a Special Education Teacher. She joined BASIS Charter Schools in 2016 as the Upper School Dean for BASIS Ahwatukee before transitioning to the Director of Student Affairs at BASIS Chandler Primary South in 2018.

Devin Santillan
Director of Academic Programs
Devin has been teaching since 2011. She taught third grade in Texas before moving to Arizona and joining BASIS Charter Schools. Devin held the role of grade 3 Learning Expert Teacher for eight years before transitioning into her current role of Director of Academic Programs.
