2 BASIS Shavano Seniors win 2024 National Merit Scholarship awards!

Congratulations to Henry G. and Eric Z.

This week, Henry and Eric earned corporate sponsored National Merit Scholarship awards, joining elite ranks. Of the four awardees, we are so proud that BASIS San Antonio Shavano have two!

These scholarly superstars had previously been named National Merit Semi-Finalists last fall, and National Merit Finalists earlier this year.

Henry, with his sights set on a future in computer engineering, won an esteemed a scholarship from USAA, the financial services corporation headquartered in San Antonio.

Eric, who plans a career in electrical engineering, was awarded an Honorary Merit Scholarship. The honorary scholarship signifies that the scholar’s educational plans or other awards preclude receipt of a monetary scholarship. Eric was previously named a Coolidge Scholar which gives him a 4 year full ride to the school of his choice.

Please join us in congratulating Henry and Eric.  We know they will both do great things as alumni of BASIS Texas Charter Schools
