3 BASIS Seniors Receive Full-Ride Stamps Scholarships

We’re proud to announce that three BASIS Charter School seniors from the Class of 2025 have received the Stamps Scholarship!

Founded in 2006 by E. Roe Stamps and his late wife Penny, the Stamps Scholar Program awards high-achieving students with merit-based scholarships. Students who are selected for this program show strong academic ability, leadership potential, and exceptional character. Approximately 415 students receive the award every year.

The Stamps Foundation partners with 37 universities across the United States and the United Kingdom. Specific award details vary from school to school, but most partner universities provide Stamps Scholars with full-ride, four-year scholarships. Some schools also provide additional funds for study abroad programs, academic conferences, and leadership training.

Congratulations to our BASIS Charter School recipients!

Mahita V., BASIS Chandler – University of Arizona

Mahita’s Stamps Scholarship covers four years at the University of Arizona’s W.A. Franke Honors College. As a scholarship recipient, she will also gain access to exclusive social and professional development events. She intends to double major in Biology and Bioinformatics.

Sumaya T., BASIS Ahwatukee – University of Arizona

The University of Arizona only awards five Stamps Scholarships each year—and this year, two of them went to BASIS students! Sumaya plans to study International Affairs at the University of Arizona’s W.A. Franke Honors College.

Srikanya G., BASIS Chandler – Tulane University

Srikanya earned a full-ride scholarship to Tulane University, where she plans to double major in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Computer Science. Approximately five incoming Tulane University freshmen are selected for the Stamps Scholarship each year.

The future is bright for our Stamps Scholars! In addition to displaying remarkable academic ability, all three of these students are strong leaders in their communities. With the help of the professional development resources provided by the Stamps Foundation, they can continue to grow their leadership skills in college.

At BASIS Charter Schools, we are dedicated to preparing students for college success. Our average graduate receives more than $100,000 in college scholarships!
