BASIS Cedar Park Divsion B Science Olympiad State Costume

BASIS Cedar Park Reached Podium at National Tournament for Science Olympiad

We are proud to announce an incredible achievement from BASIS Cedar Park. The Division B team has placed 3rd in the nation at the 2026 National Tournament for the Science Olympiad!   


Competing against 7,000 teams from all 50 states, the BASIS Cedar Park team demonstrated exceptional determination and expertise across a wide range of events, from coding to entomology. Ten students – including two trial event competitors – earned the prestigious title of National Champion in their respective events. 

About the Science Olympiad Competition   

The National Tournament for Science Olympiad is the nation’s leading STEM competition. Separated by age divisions, there is an opportunity for everyone to compete. From K-6 science “Fun Days” to middle and high school level competitions, students can demonstrate their expertise. Teams are encouraged to work together as they tackle a variety of events such as genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, mechanical engineering and technology.

BASIS Charter Schools are focused on developing critical thinking and leadership skills through a STEM focused curriculum. The Division B champs are proof that through hard work and teamwork, success is within reach!
