National College Decision Day 2025: Where Are BASIS Seniors Attending College?

BASIS Charter Schools are dedicated to preparing students for success in college. Each of our high school seniors graduate with a minimum of six AP courses under their belt and an average of more than $100,000 in merit aid.

In their senior year, our students take a daily College Counseling Seminar. By providing
individualized college guidance to each student, we are able to ensure that 100% of our seniors are accepted to a four-year college or university.

After receiving acceptance letters (usually in March or early April), our seniors have tough decisions to make. They need to weigh the pros and cons of each school and consider which school would be the best fit for them.

By National College Decision Day on May 1, our seniors have made their choices! Learn more about what National College Decision Day is and find out where BASIS Charter Schools seniors will be attending college next year.

What is National College Decision Day?

Taking place on May 1 each year, National College Decision Day is the unofficial deadline for accepting enrollment at a college or university. On or before this day, seniors should decide which college they are going to attend in the fall and complete any necessary enrollment steps.

National College Decision Day is an exciting time for high school seniors since it marks the end of the college application and acceptance process. After confirming enrollment at the school of their choice, seniors can sit back and relax without worrying about their college plans.

When do seniors have to decide on a college?

Most colleges set their enrollment deadlines, or “decision days,” on or around May 1. However, some schools may have earlier or later deadlines for accepting your offer. Always be sure to check the enrollment instructions in your offer letter for specific deadlines!

In 2024, many schools pushed back their enrollment deadlines due to FAFSA delays. The FAFSA rollout for the 2025–26 school year went much smoother than the 2024–25 FAFSA cycle, so most colleges are sticking with their traditional enrollment deadlines for 2025.
